Besides cloud seeding, a thermal plant capable of producing 3.4 megawatts is being installed in Ambohimanambola. A solar plant is also under installation in Moramanga, with only the evacuation and distribution line remaining. There is also a project to import a generator capable of producing 7 MW. In November, a new transformer will be installed at Andekaleka. Following the solar solution mobilization held April 30, Jirama received an offer of 207 megawatts at less than 8.5 cents per dollar. "While production remains unsatisfactory, these problems affect only Antananarivo, Diego, and Toamasina, not all Madagascar," noted Jirama Director General General Hajatiana Rasolomanana.
