Faced with a large hostile crowd near Ambodifiakara and Pompe Maty, law enforcement decided not to bring the two men back to central Faratsiho to avoid further escalation. They were instead taken to the Faravohitra outpost, where they were placed under gendarme surveillance and continued to receive medical care. Originally from Vinaninony Sud and residing in Faratsiho district, the two men were to be transferred to Antsirabe on the morning of September 7. An investigation must now determine the exact circumstances of the case and verify the accusations against them. The Faratsiho gendarmerie brigade and Faratsiho national police are handling the investigation. For their part, law enforcement had to intervene to restore calm among residents. The situation eventually returned to normal.
