BMOI encourages the use of bank cards. Initiatives to promote payment card usage are multiplying. This is the case with BMOI and VISA, which are currently launching 'Payez Libre', a campaign that rewards every card payment. The campaign, which began on July 1st and will end on September 30, 2026, consists of rewarding every VISA BMOI card payment of 100,000 ariary or more. Winners have the chance to win a major trip and numerous exclusive prizes.
Simple Operation
This is an operation with the merit of being straightforward. Indeed, no prior steps are required from the customer, as the participation token is generated automatically from the first eligible payment, whether made at an electronic payment terminal or online, in Madagascar or abroad. Each additional transaction mechanically increases the chances of being among the winners. The draw, announced as entirely electronic and random, will designate the winners at the end of the period.
A subsidiary of the BCP Group since 2019, BMOI presents this campaign as part of its strategic partnership with VISA, and frames it within a broader objective: to accelerate the modernization of card payments in Madagascar, particularly for everyday expenses, still largely dominated by cash. Beyond the promotional dimension, the bank took the opportunity to raise public awareness about bank card usage. At a conference held on September 2nd at CAFF Eden in Ankorondrano, it presented best payment practices, transaction security, and card features often unknown to the general public. A way for the bank to bridge the knowledge gap that hinders the adoption of electronic payment. 'A bank card is only truly useful if it is well understood and properly used,' summarized Manoa-Elia Rasandinirina, BMOI's marketing and communications director. 'Payez Libre is a way to guide customers toward better mastery of their card,' she added.
