Voltage drops and frequent power cuts caused by failures in the electrical transmission line at Vontovorona have been resolved. Groupe Filatex installed and modernized 400 meters of electrical line in Vontovorona, which was recently inaugurated. The old infrastructure has been replaced by a modern network that complies with safety standards and is calibrated to support local demand. It ensures stable long-term supply. This network stabilization transforms daily life for nearly 1,500 people from 350 households in the fokontany of Antanety II. The fokontany office, Basic Health Centers, and public schools benefit from this new installation. This advancement also secures social and educational projects of the NGO hub Yamuna and Tsinjo MNA in Vontovorona. The Children's Reception Center, sponsored since 2016 by the Honorary Consulate of Spain, the daycare for 25 children, and the digital literacy, French language, and youth guidance training rooms will directly benefit. This civic initiative driven and coordinated by NGO Yamuna came about through the multi-stakeholder collaboration of Groupe Filatex, Jirama, and local authorities. Groupe Filatex, under the leadership of CEO Hasnaine Yavarhoussen, fully financed the materials for these installations, following its corporate social responsibility commitments. The national company Jirama supplied and installed new poles.
