In a video released yesterday, Dr. Minohasina made revelations about a scheme aimed at silencing her husband detained at Tsiafahy. Dr. Minohasina calls on the PRRM, Colonel Michaël Randrianirina and Prime Minister Mamitiana Rajaonarison, who are also members of the Association of Former Military School Alumni (AET). The wife of Colonel Patrick Rakotomamonjy breaks her silence and raises her voice to denounce a genuine physical elimination scheme against her imprisoned husband. She has reportedly not been allowed to visit her husband, incarcerated at Tsiafahy prison, since August 23rd. This means the former director of the Bureau of Grievances to the Presidency of the Refoundation of the Republic of Madagascar has been placed in a solitary cell measuring approximately 6 square meters for two weeks, under conditions described as extreme and even inhumane. The cell is reportedly narrow, dark and without any equipment, forcing the detainee to lie on the bare floor, deprived of bed and blanket. In a video posted yesterday on social media, Dr. Minohasina claims that Colonel Patrick Rakotomamonjy is undergoing torture at Tsiafahy. This occurs despite his very alarming health condition that deteriorates daily. Currently, the senior officer reportedly suffers from back pain, chest pain and breathing difficulties. According to her, the possibility of hyperthermia and hypoglycemia cannot be ruled out. According to his wife, Colonel Patrick Rakotomamonjy is in danger and his days are numbered if no measures are taken to end this situation. She therefore demands medical evacuation to Soavinandriana Military Hospital so he can receive appropriate medical care. Speaking directly and bluntly, the wife of the former PRRM director claims she no longer trusts the prison doctor at Tsiafahy, whom she accuses of seeking delaying tactics to refuse treatment for her husband. In essence, Dr. Minohasina denounces a plot aimed at physically eliminating her husband to silence him. According to her, there is a possibility of food poisoning to place responsibility on his wife, who is the only one allowed to visit him when he is not in solitary confinement. In this video, which circulated on social media yesterday, she claims the order comes from a high-ranking official within the Justice Ministry. Former Military School Alumni While expressing concern about her husband's health, Dr. Minohasina appeals to members of the Association of Former Military School Alumni of Madagascar to take responsibility for saving one of their comrades, Colonel Patrick Rakotomamonjy. It should be noted that the President of the Refoundation of the Republic of Madagascar, Colonel Michaël Randrianirina, and current Prime Minister Mamitiana Rajaonarison, are also members of this association. Indeed, Colonel Patrick's wife specifically addressed the PRRM to intervene to resolve this matter. It remains to be seen whether the current strongman of the country will consider this distress call from his former comrade's wife. It should be noted, however, that in late August, Colonel Patrick Rakotomamonjy was accused of being involved in a plot to set fire to Tsiafahy prison to prepare his escape. WhatsApp conversations and evidence had leaked at the time to incriminate the former deputy technical director of HOMI Soavinandriana. This is probably the reason for his placement in solitary confinement.
