Andranomena: Line 194 Road Undergoing Repairs
Interim Analamanga regional chief Clémence Raharinirina visited Andranomena yesterday afternoon to assess progress on road rehabilitation work at the Line 194 bus stop. The severely degraded road section had been causing difficulties for transporters, users, and local residents and merchants. Two days after work began, initial results are already visible. The road surface is gradually being restored, much to the relief of users. Durable roads "Roads rehabilitated by the Analamanga Region are built to last," explained Tovo Andrianavalona, director of economic development for the Region. He clarified that this is a genuine road resurfacing and not simply a pothole-filling operation. "This is a proper rehabilitation, not just filling holes," emphasized Clémence Raharinirina. She called on users and residents to preserve the rehabilitated roads, particularly by ensuring proper water drainage, which is their main enemy. 7,000 m² completed According to the interim regional chief, 7,000 m² of the planned 15,500 m² have already been completed. Road work in Antananarivo and surrounding areas is managed by three entities: the Urban Municipality of Antananarivo, the Analamanga Region, and the Analamanga Regional Public Works Department. After Andranomena, work will continue in Ambatolampy, then Ankadimbahoaka, Fasankarana, Isotry, Antohomadinika, Madinox toward Ankazomanga, Avaratra Antanimora toward the Mausoleum, Ambohipo, and at the Line 119 terminus in Ankatso.
