The Monegasque association S.H.A.R.E. is launching an interventional cardiology mission at the Medical Institute of Madagascar from September 18 to October 9, 2026. Named "Repair the Hearts," this operation brings together doctors from the National Cardiology Center of Nouakchott and Malagasy practitioners to provide free care to indigent patients. For over fifteen years, S.H.A.R.E. has worked to reduce the impact of cardiovascular diseases in sub-Saharan Africa. Its philosophy is based on training and knowledge sharing among healthcare providers. The presence of Mauritanian cardiologists, themselves trained by the association, illustrates this pan-African transmission model. Over twenty days, the team will conduct coronary angiographies, angioplasties, and percutaneous mitral dilations for patients who lack access to specialized care. It will also ensure the training of Malagasy doctors and paramedics, follow-up of young patients already treated through the Monaco Humanitarian Collective, and assessment of needs to strengthen the autonomy of local facilities. All participants volunteer without compensation to guarantee completely free care.
