"Fokonolona no vahaolana" - the Fokonolona is the solution. This slogan encapsulates the vision of the Fonena association, which seeks to place community at the heart of social action. The association announced its expansion into the Analamanga region on Friday during a presentation held at the National Library in Anosy. Through this initiative, the organization aims to restore the central role of Fokonolona in addressing social problems and advancing Madagascar's development. "Is the nation truly independent? The Fokontany? The citizen? Society? It is to answer these questions that we chose June 26 to launch our initiative," explains Mario Raharimino, national president of the association. For Fonena, the principle of Fokonolona is not new, but it has lost importance over time. The organization wants to "restore full value to Fokonolona in Malagasy society." The president emphasizes: "Let us unite, share a common vision, and restore importance to Fokonolona in Madagascar." The association believes that development must first rely on concrete actions and direct community involvement. Born in Toliara, Fonena has already undertaken several initiatives in education and energy before expanding to Analamanga. "In Toliara, we have already demonstrated our commitment through school construction to support education, providing access to water and energy, and assisting vulnerable people," Mario Raharimino stresses. For Fonena, these actions reflect a strong conviction: sustainable development comes from the community level. "Let us unite, restore value to fokonolona, and build Madagascar's development together," concludes the president.
