A solar project aimed at strengthening electricity supply to Ihosy is taking shape. A delegation led by the Regional Directorate of Energy and Hydrocarbons (DREH) Ihorombe, accompanied by representatives from Jirama Ihosy, conducted a field visit to Ambia commune in Ihosy district. The mission confirmed progress in preparations for constructing a photovoltaic solar plant with a planned capacity of 3 MWc. According to information provided, the land designated for the installations is already available. Covering 3 hectares and 2 ares, it is currently undergoing necessary administrative procedures, with files already submitted to competent land services. The future plant will help strengthen Ihosy's electrical supply capacity and surrounding areas. The project also aligns with the progressive development of renewable energy in the Ihorombe region.
