Cool conditions on the central highlands will persist in the coming days. While today, September 4, weak trade winds are dictating weather across the island, the weekend will be largely influenced by a cold front centered south of Madagascar. Intermittent morning rains are expected across several regions along the northeast and east axis, including SAVA, Ambatosoa, Analanjirofo and Atsinanana. Analamanga will experience cloudy to partly cloudy skies. The same applies to Alaotra-Mangoro and the eastern parts of Sofia and Vakinankaratra. Local fog is also expected over the central highlands. Tomorrow morning, light rains are probable over parts of SAVA and the Ambatosoa region. Elsewhere, weather will alternate between sun and clouds, with morning fog over the central highlands and eastern and southeastern parts of the country. Tomorrow afternoon, skies will clear over most of the island, except Antalaha and the Ambatosoa region where rain will persist. Showers will also be observed in the Tolagnaro and Amboasary Atsimo districts, particularly during the night. Temperatures will drop slightly Saturday and Sunday due to the cold front in the south. A minimum temperature of 5°C is expected in Vakinankaratra on Sunday, September 6, and 6°C tomorrow, Saturday, September 5. In Analamanga, minimums of 12°C are forecast for tomorrow, dropping to 10°C on Sunday.
