Band Reko invites its audience to Palais des Sports for a concert featuring its fourth album, Upside Down, with over forty songs on the program.
Reko will meet its fans at Palais des Sports for one of the year's most anticipated events. True to its annual concert tradition, the group will perform on September 20 at 3 p.m., in a show organized by Studio 53 in collaboration with Orange Madagascar. This now-official partnership also makes Reko an ambassador for the brand. On stage, the band will showcase its fourth album, Upside Down, released in June, alongside several standout tracks from its repertoire.
Upside Down marks a new chapter in Reko's journey. Five English-language songs from the album will be particularly highlighted. In total, the audience will discover over 40 titles, blending songs to listen to and songs to experience, in a show designed as a moment of sharing and emotion.
The concert will be organized in two parts and will feature several guests, including Jimmy Harison, Ericka Durock from band TGC, and DJ Sugar Nathan. Musical collaborations are also planned, including covers of Reko songs by the invited artists. Their selection reflects the desire to bring "a touch from them, connected to our music," organizers say.
Reko's annual concert, usually held in December, will exceptionally take place in September this year, partly due to Palais des Sports' unavailability in December. The group hopes to return to December next year, a period of particular importance to them.
"This is really Reko's most important concert of the year. It's where we accomplish many things and give our maximum energy," says Fy Rasolofoniaina, one of the band's pillars.
Reko also champions music open to everyone. "Our music is for everyone. It's not specifically evangelical," explains Fy Rasolofoniaina. He compares this philosophy to sunlight: "Like the sun that rises for everyone and brings its light to all, our music also wants to bring light to everyone."
Reko celebrates eight years of existence this year. The group includes Diary on bass and vocals, Zazah on drums, Princia on guitar, and Fy on acoustic guitar and lead vocals.
The band performs progressive folk, with acoustic guitar as its foundation, enriched by other instruments. Reko has already impressed at previous Palais des Sports shows, regularly selling out. Last year, the group won the award for best concert of the year.
With this new event, Reko aims to offer its audience another highlight, combining the discovery of Upside Down, English-language tracks, collaborations, and classics from its repertoire. A concert centered on music, sharing, and emotion.
