The Festival Temps Fort Danse, organized by the Institut français de Madagascar, is in its third edition under the theme Of Memory and Future. Since August 22, IFM Analakely has been hosting three weeks of performances, workshops and screenings to celebrate dance in all its forms. Artists from Madagascar and the Indian Ocean are sharing their creations, including Tsy Ferana, OG Mécanique, Tanindrazana and Rodo. The workshops, open to all, explore different styles such as contemporary dance, hip-hop, krump, house and popping, and encourage intergenerational exchange. The festival also features a roundtable discussion on the theme Taking Care of the Artist; Creating Today, Lasting Tomorrow, dedicated to the physical and mental health of dancers. On the cinema side, the movement continues with the screening of Pina by Wim Wenders, followed by an afternoon featuring Happy Feet, Pulp Fiction and Climax. With this edition, Temps Fort Danse celebrates dance as a living memory, a language of the present and a space to imagine the future. Dance enthusiasts and the curious will have until September 12 to fully immerse themselves in the world of dance. This week, the festival invites spectators to actively participate in the workshops.
