A four-year-old girl narrowly escaped abduction on August 24 in the early morning in the fokontany of Anahimpisaka, commune of Belemoka, district of Ikongo. Three men suspected of involvement in the case have been arrested by the National Police. The incident occurred while the child was in the village of Tsaramandroso. According to information gathered, two men allegedly took her and hid her in an abandoned gold mining pit. However, the suspicious behavior of the two individuals did not go unnoticed. A person who witnessed the scene quickly raised the alarm and informed both the child's parents and law enforcement. Alerted, the National Police immediately launched a search and set up an operation to catch the suspects in the act. The two men were intercepted the same day while still at the location where the child had been hidden. The girl was found safe and sound and returned to her family. A third suspect arrested. Investigations by officers subsequently identified a third man also allegedly involved in the case. Search efforts led to his arrest. In total, three men are currently involved in this suspected abduction case. Investigations continue to determine the precise circumstances, each person's role, and possible motives behind the attempted abduction. This case underscores the need for heightened vigilance, particularly in rural areas where suspicious movements can sometimes go unnoticed.
