The bodies of four suspects in the murder of Haingotiana Rasamison and Stéphanie Nohasoavina, held at HJRA hospital morgue since Saturday morning, have been returned to their families. Three bodies were collected Monday evening, with the fourth released yesterday morning. The suspects are Aldo, 18, from Ambohitrimanjaka; Larry, 20, from Ambodin'Isotry; Fanomezantsoa, 17, from 67 Ha; and Sitrakin'ny Avo, 23, from Itaosy. So far, only one burial location has been confirmed, in Fianarantsoa. Autopsies were conducted in the presence of families, ordered by judicial requisition to establish circumstances of death. Following the procedure, relatives were able to claim the bodies. The execution of these four alleged perpetrators of the double murder continues to spark debate in legal circles. Lawyers have expressed concerns about judicial authority and respect for fundamental rights, including the presumption of innocence, right to defense, and right to fair trial, considered essential for establishing the truth.
