National Holiday: Neighborhood Lanterns Remain Timeless
The atmosphere was perfect during the neighborhood lantern celebrations. Despite the presence of Chinese gadgets, traditional lanterns remain timeless. Whether in the city center or on the outskirts, the festive spirit was unmistakable. On the evening of June 25th, neighborhoods dressed themselves in lights for a celebration that, year after year, remains resolutely timeless. As night fell, a unique excitement swept up young and old in a whirlwind of colors and sounds. Children, their eyes bright with excitement, proudly displayed their traditional paper lanterns or brandished new high-tech luminous gadgets. "It's an appointment we wouldn't miss for anything in the world. It brings back childhood memories, and seeing young people marvel at their lanterns shows that tradition doesn't age," confides a local resident, somewhat nostalgic. Decentralization The major innovation of recent years has firmly taken root in local customs: the decentralization of the celebration. Residents of the outskirts no longer need to converge toward an overcrowded city center. Each municipality vibrated to the rhythm of its own festivities. Energized stages, animated by local artists, made neighborhoods dance through the night. To top it all off, majestic fireworks illuminated the municipal skies, offering a show worthy of the largest urban centers, right above people's homes. A successful popular communion, where proximity enhanced tradition.
