Companies, producers and institutions will gather from September 10-13 at CCI Ivato for the 8th International Fair for Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, combined with the 2nd International Gastronomy Festival.
Two hundred twenty exhibitors will meet at CCI Ivato starting September 10 under the theme "Madagascar in Motion: Produce, Transform, Develop." More than 25,000 visitors are expected at this eighth edition of the International Agricultural Fair, organized by Mada Vision, which will be coupled with the second International Gastronomy Festival.
The fair aims to create a meeting space between producers, entrepreneurs, institutions and consumers over four days. The 162 stands dedicated to agriculture and 58 devoted to gastronomy will represent more than ten sectors, including agriculture, livestock, fisheries, agribusiness, industry, crafts, commerce and services.
This edition gives significant prominence to the private sector. Official sponsors Yas Business, Star, Luceo and SFOI will each present their expertise to professionals. Yas Business will highlight communication and digitalization solutions, as well as new technologies for farmers and livestock breeders.
Star will contribute to valorizing local resources through raw material transformation. Luceo will showcase natural products from these resources, while SFOI will present its packaging expertise, essential for product protection, presentation and commercialization.
Public institutions will also participate. The Ministry of Livestock will attend under the motto "Modern Livestock: A Source of Sustainable Income for Breeders and Resources for the Nation." Tafita Todisoa Rakotoarimanana, cabinet director, emphasizes that the fair is not merely an exhibition but a dialogue and collaboration framework to advance sectors.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty will present productions from farmers' work, according to Lovaniaina Rakotondranaivo, director general of Agriculture. The Ministry of Industrialization and Private Sector, also sponsoring the event, will focus on transforming local resources. For Niaina Nirina Razafindrazaka, director general of Industrialization, processing agricultural products better valorizes raw materials and creates greater added value.
The fair will also offer public attractions including gastronomy, livestock park, pony and horse rides, entertainment and children's activities throughout the four days. A concert by Samoëla is scheduled for Saturday, September 12 at 2 p.m.
