A decisive step toward reconciliation in preparing the national consultation. Thierry Rakotonarivo, president of the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI), led a delegation yesterday to meet with FFKM president Mgr Samoela Jaona Ranarivelo. The agenda included the official handover of a synthesis report from preparatory workshops organized by the electoral body at the end of May. These three days of deliberation brought together various civil society actors and political parties to lay the groundwork for constructive dialogue. By transmitting these conclusions to the Christian Council of Churches of Madagascar, the CENI goes beyond delivering a technical assessment. The electoral institution clearly demonstrates its commitment to supporting the FFKM at every stage of the national gathering currently being structured. For its part, the FFKM continues its historic mediation efforts by leveraging its regional structures to gather expectations from the grassroots population. The CENI's data and recommendations aim to feed working commissions and avoid starting from scratch. All documents presented at this meeting have been published on the CENI's official website, allowing citizens and observers to review the proposals submitted for discussion.
