The Ministry of Transport and Meteorology met with transporters at Fasan'ny Karana yesterday to officially notify them of the decision to transfer their activities to Amoronakona. This measure comes as the Fasan'ny Karana site must now be returned to its owners. Authorities have granted transporters a 15-day deadline to complete the relocation, in collaboration with the Land Transport Agency (ATT), which will handle technical aspects. After this deadline, sanctions will apply: only permits issued at Amoronakona will be recognized as legal, and all other documents will be considered clandestine. The minister clarified that transport lines will soon be opened around Amoronakona to offset the distance of the new bus station. Additionally, urban train schedules have been reinforced to facilitate user mobility. A new technical meeting between the ATT and transporters is scheduled for next Wednesday to finalize the practical details of this transfer. This decision marks a significant turning point in urban transport organization. Transporters now have two weeks to comply, or risk having their activities declared illegal.
