Meetings are multiplying in the current political context. Following various initiatives undertaken to resolve the crisis, the president of the FFKM, Mgr Samoela Jaona Ranarivelo, received yesterday at Andohalo the members of the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI), led by their president, Thierry Rakotonarivo. This meeting comes as political dialogue initiated by the Refoundation of the Republic government opens today at Iavoloha. The CENI members took the opportunity of their visit to the FFKM president to hand over documents containing the conclusions of the preparatory workshop for the "Fikaonandoham-pirenena", scheduled for May 28, 29 and 30. According to Thierry Rakotonarivo, these documents can serve as a working basis for the FFKM in its approach to national consultation. Exchanges also took place between the two parties on the political situation and the electoral process. The CENI expressed its availability to support the FFKM in the various stages related to organizing national consultation. This collaboration comes as the electoral body announced the postponement of the consultation platform bringing together political actors and civil society around electoral issues. This meeting between the FFKM and CENI occurs at a time when initiatives to promote dialogue among various actors are multiplying. Consultations scheduled at Iavoloha starting today should provide new insights into the next steps of the process.
