New solar power plant in Madiro, Nosy-Be. Installation work on a 3 MWc solar plant continues in Madiro, Nosy-Be. The Regional Energy and Hydrocarbons Directorate (DREH) Diana is currently overseeing the receipt and monitoring of equipment for this new electricity production infrastructure powered by solar energy. A second shipment of materials recently arrived at the site. It includes 252 solar panels, each with an individual capacity of 575 watts, intended to complete the equipment needed to finish the installation. The establishment of this plant is part of efforts to strengthen electricity production from clean and renewable sources in Nosy-Be. The goal is notably to gradually improve the island's energy supply while promoting the use of solar energy. The monitoring provided by DREH Diana supports the progress of this project, which is expected to contribute to strengthening local electricity production capacity.
