This Sunday, August 30, Antsahamanitra was once again packed to welcome Samoëla and his admirers. With "Tsy Tontan'ny Ela", organized by Zouk Pro, the artist chose to celebrate his three decades on stage by revisiting the songs that have marked his journey. A choice steeped in nostalgia, but also in sharing, as the audience rediscovered titles they have known for years in rearranged versions.
The show opened with "Zaza Maroroka", followed by "Matro Be". For over four hours, Samoëla drew from his repertoire to revive several of his classic pieces. Among them was notably "Richard le Popman", which the artist recalls releasing in 2004. The various songs were rearranged to give them a fresh sound while preserving their identity.
Loyalty Spanning Generations
Beyond the show's duration, this evening above all illustrated Samoëla's ability to unite his audience around familiar songs. Spectators accompanied the artist through each title, confirming a loyalty that shows no signs of waning after three decades of career.
On stage, Samoëla was accompanied by several musicians, in a scenography organized on three levels. The ensemble added depth to the different sequences of the show and the reunions with the pieces that have punctuated his career.
Samoëla's artistic adventure dates back to 1995, before his first show presented in February 1996. Antsahamanitra has since held a special place in his artistic history: the August 30 performance marks his eighth show at this venue in 30 years of career.
The celebration of Samoëla's 30-year career does not end at Antsahamanitra. After this meeting in Madagascar, the artist will continue the festivities in Europe in September, before embarking at the end of the month on a tour of 17 cities across the Grande Île.
The festivities will thus span nearly two years, allowing the artist to extend his reunions with his audience before opening a new chapter of his career in 2027.
