As August drew to a close, nostalgia and musical fervor filled the air at the ESCA Antanimena basketball court. To beautifully conclude the weekend and their national tour "Tamberina 2026," members of the Rebika group reunited with their devoted fans at a vibrant closing concert. Despite unfavorable weather conditions that left some empty chairs scattered across the open-air venue, the audience showed up in force. Long-time fans and lovers of Malagasy variety music wouldn't have missed this gathering, once again proving their unwavering attachment to the group. Rebika offered the audience a genuine journey through the ages throughout the afternoon. Through a marathon repertoire of some sixty songs, the artists spanned decades of their career. Between beloved classics sung in unison, forgotten gems, and shared memories, the group's musical legacy resonated with intensity. Among the performance's highlights, a heartfelt tribute to Rampal's memory through the moving rendition of "Fitia madio" stirred deep emotion among spectators. The atmosphere intensified the moment the opening notes of the unmissable "Tiako izy" rang out, immediately transporting the crowd into collective euphoria. Faithful to its legendary romantico-pop style and closeness with fans, Rebika thus closes the curtain on a memorable national tour. A masterful catch-up session for those present, leading many to say once again that the absent truly missed out.
