One hundred young people aged 6 to 15 benefited from a recreational day combining discovery and civic awareness, organized by the CUA. Yesterday, the Urban Municipality of Antananarivo was the setting for a significant event, both warm and highly symbolic. Far from traditional political contests, the municipality chose to place human welfare and social justice at the heart of its action. Under the evocative theme "Andro iray tsiky arivo," approximately one hundred children from the six districts of the capital experienced an extraordinary day. Behind this festive initiative lies a clear political message. The holiday period is ending, but many children from disadvantaged neighborhoods did not have the chance to enjoy it. The CUA therefore decided to assert a fundamental right often forgotten for the most vulnerable: the right to leisure and personal development. The municipality thus reminds us that its vision is to provide concrete social assistance to its population by allowing these children to fully enjoy their rights. By targeting young people aged six to fifteen from reception centers such as CEDA and MADCAP, under the supervision of the Ministry of Population, the municipality demonstrates its commitment to leaving no citizen behind through rigorous selection conducted at the fokontany level.

Young participants first visited City Hall to immerse themselves in the history and heritage of the CUA, before heading to Ambodivona for a cinema session. The day continued with lunch at Tsimbazaza Zoo, accompanied by an afternoon of cultural relaxation and an educational session. On the local political landscape, this action illustrates constructive synergy between the CUA, through the Department of Social Affairs and the Department of Cultural Affairs and Civic Participation, and central government. Beyond this enchanted interlude, this partnership tackles deep structural issues, particularly the question of homelessness. Awareness-raising actions are being conducted to encourage them to join reception centers where they can receive education and support toward employment. As the school year approaches, the CUA confirms that the schooling of marginalized children and comprehensive social assistance constitute an inescapable republican duty, reaffirming with force its proximity to the people of Antananarivo.
