A man suspected of involvement in motorcycle and vehicle thefts was arrested by the National Police on August 26 at around 3 a.m. in the 67 ha area. The operation, conducted by the Rapid Intervention Unit (UIR) of the National Police, led to the discovery of several documents related to vehicles and motorcycles. The individual's suspicious behavior caught the attention of officers during their patrol. Upon inspection, he was found in possession of multiple documents whose origin needed clarification. According to initial investigation findings, the suspect reportedly admitted his involvement in motorcycle thefts. He also indicated that an accomplice transporting a motorcycle had taken a different route. Two days later, on August 28 at around 4 a.m., another foot patrol by the National Police led to the arrest of a second suspect in Anosibe Mandrangobato I. Known by the nickname "Bôby," the individual is suspected of involvement in criminal activities in the Anosibe sector and surrounding areas. He was caught while allegedly committing a criminal act. Both individuals were taken respectively to the Urban Security Office of Tananarive at Tsaralalàna (SUT) and the Public Security Police Station at Mahamasina for further investigation procedures. These two arrests demonstrate the vigilance maintained by the National Police during night patrols, particularly in areas exposed to criminal activity. Investigations continue to determine the exact involvement of the suspects and any possible accomplices.
