During the certificate presentation ceremony for young people trained free of charge in digital professions, Madagascar faces a structural challenge in sustainable employment access, while BPO companies, or business process outsourcing, struggle to recruit qualified and immediately operational profiles. To address this, the State, through the Ministry of Digital Development, Posts and Telecommunications, launched the ASAN'AI program as part of a public-private partnership, with technical and financial support from the World Bank via the PIC project (Integrated Growth Poles). The objective is to remove constraints related to youth employability while facilitating their integration into BPO professions. Launched in January 2026, the program generated strong interest, receiving 4,606 applications via the online platform, supplemented by 89 applications from speed recruiting. In total, 335 candidates from various regions of Madagascar were selected to join the first cohort's support phase.
Certified Attestation
During three months of free training, 236 selected young people followed a structured and demanding program focused on strengthening technical, linguistic and behavioral skills. Following this training, 149 young people were selected to complete a one-month internship with partner companies operating in the BPO sector. Ultimately, 138 young people received their certificates certified by the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training, guaranteeing official recognition of their skills and strengthening their employability. These young people are now ready to enter the job market. Proof: 136 beneficiaries of this free training have already been recruited by BPO companies, with 58 young people obtaining permanent contracts.

Recall that the ASAN'AI program aims to develop skills corresponding to the needs of the private sector operating in the digital sector, while contributing to strengthening the competitiveness of this sector and offering future opportunities for young people. The supervising ministry will continue its efforts to support young people toward digital professions. Indeed, the launch of the second training cohort is planned for July. This ministry department is currently processing 3,499 application files from young people distributed across all regions of Madagascar.
