A significant step in strengthening cooperation between Madagascar and the International Cocoa Organization (ICCO). Michel Arrion, executive director of this international body, is currently on an official visit to the country. This visit confirms Madagascar's growing role in international discussions on the future of cocoa and will notably be marked by the signing of the 2026 International Cocoa Agreement. Madagascar holds the vice-presidency of the ICCO and has recently mobilized efforts, particularly in Brussels, to voice the concerns of producing countries facing declining international cocoa prices.
