A young girl who had just graduated from high school lost her life in an accident that occurred yesterday morning in Ambohitrimanjaka. A Terracan all-terrain vehicle carrying a family of four returning from vacation in Mahajanga veered off the road before plunging into the river at Ambohitrimanjaka. The girl, who had just obtained her baccalauréat, died instantly. The three other occupants of the vehicle were rescued unharmed. The vehicle was also recovered from the water thanks to the intervention of local residents who came to aid the victims. According to witnesses, the Terracan was traveling at high speed at the time of the incident. After leaving the road, the driver apparently failed to control the vehicle, which ended up in the water. The exact circumstances of the accident will need to be established by the competent authorities.
