The wife of a footballer, initially detained with them, has been granted provisional release. The Ministry of Justice emphasized that the Keeper of the Seals, Fanirisoa Ernaivo, maintains her position that this was a poisoning by artificial botulism toxin, not belladone or datura as previously mentioned. However, she allows judges to conduct the investigation independently. Scientific analyses that should have been carried out in Europe within three months of the deaths could not be performed, complicating the establishment of solid evidence. Despite one defendant's confession regarding poison use, magistrates continue their investigations to establish exact responsibilities. The case is nearing completion and should soon be referred to the Criminal Court for public trial.
