A 19-year-old man, identified as a close friend of Nomenjanahary Elizio, the veterinarian found dead at his home in Toamasina, was arrested last Friday. He was to be presented to the prosecutor yesterday. According to available information, the young man reportedly admitted to his involvement in Elizio's murder and indicated that two other individuals participated in the crime. These individuals are currently being sought. Nomenjanahary Elizio, 32, was found dead on August 13 at his residence in Dépôt 4e, Toamasina. The search for him began two days earlier, on August 11. On the Friday morning before his body was discovered, the veterinarian had reportedly transported goods to Sainte-Marie. However, he became unreachable from Saturday onwards, causing concern among his loved ones. When the body was discovered, three stab wounds were found, two to the neck and one to the abdomen. Several items reportedly disappeared from the residence, including a computer, television, phone, and tablet. The arrest of this close associate represents a breakthrough in the investigation. The two other individuals mentioned remain at large. The investigation continues to determine the exact circumstances of the murder and each person's role in the case. Further judicial proceedings are expected.
