José Andriamiharijao Solofoharijao, president of the Liana Fahasoavana ny Nosiko (LFN Madagascar) party, is calling for clarification on Madagascar's position regarding the SADC and recent decisions made at the regional organization level. According to him, "the truth must be spoken to the population." He is particularly questioning information related to Madagascar's recognition at the SADC summit. He also notes that the relocation of the SADC Parliamentary Forum is raising questions. In his view, officials must clearly explain the scope of these decisions and their consequences for Madagascar.
Elections. 2027 Deadlines
The LFN president also addresses the upcoming elections. He questions the technical preparation of the elections scheduled for 2027 and the capacity of the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) to organize transparent and credible polls. He emphasizes that public confidence depends notably on the clarity of the electoral process and respect for democratic rules. He adds that institutions responsible for organizing elections must be able to guarantee the regularity and credibility of results.
Democracy
Regarding the functioning of institutions, José Andriamiharijao Solofoharijao believes that Madagascar needs a clear democratic framework and respect for republican principles. He also advocates for the inclusion of "social humanism" in the Constitution, a demand championed by his party. He affirms that strengthening democratic foundations remains necessary to ensure better institutional stability.
