Saturday saw another tragic accident. A person was found dead and covered with cloth by residents near the roadside at Tsarasaotra Ivato. He had collided with a vehicle, according to eyewitness accounts. This situation is no longer surprising to locals, as there have been far too many such accidents claiming lives, particularly motorcyclists, in the area. Many measures have already been implemented, such as road cleaning, installation of road markings, and various other initiatives, yet accidents continue to occur. There are also numerous traffic police deployed in the area, especially during peak traffic hours. However, once they leave, the road becomes free again for some reckless drivers and motorcyclists. The only missing element appears to be surveillance cameras on this main road, which could help identify the true cause of accidents when they happen. Many perpetrators also flee the scene after hitting someone.
