A 36-year-old woman was arrested on August 21st around 8 a.m. in the fokontany of Aranta, Mahajanga. The operation was conducted by PMPM police officers under the Regional Public Security Directorate of Boeny, following a report of alleged sexual abuse of minors. According to initial investigation findings, 13 girls aged 4 to 15 were reportedly victims of sexual acts. These acts were allegedly photographed in exchange for money. An 11-year-old girl who reportedly refused to participate was beaten. Alerted by a citizen, police quickly arrived at the scene and arrested the woman, identified as the main suspect in the case. The woman in her thirties is currently in police custody. The investigation continues to determine the exact circumstances and any responsibilities involved. She is expected to be presented to the prosecutor's office following the procedure. The children involved have been taken care of by competent authorities. Medical examinations were conducted and necessary treatment was provided.
