Ten young volunteers, aged 20 to 25, are departing for France in the coming days. At Antsakaviro, emotions ran high during the gathering of these solidarity ambassadors. Between imminent departures and inspiring returns, the Franco-Malagasy human bridge strengthens. The Antsakaviro Volunteering Space vibrated with a special atmosphere yesterday. France Volontaires Madagascar organized a significant meeting, bringing together ten young volunteers, aged 20 to 25, about to depart, and seven others who have completed their missions. This moment of sharing symbolizes the richness of a journey founded on commitment, mobility, and reciprocity between the two nations. These ten young people are preparing to join France for civic service or international solidarity volunteering missions lasting 9 to 12 months. They will be welcomed in six French regions, including Île-de-France, Brittany, and Occitanie, to work in varied fields: education, environment, sustainable development, youth activities, and inclusion of people with disabilities. "Volunteering is one of the symbols of patriotism. The journey of these young people will be valued," declared Rojo Maharo, director of volunteering promotion and community action within the Ministry of Communication and Culture. Niry Ramarijaona, national representative of France Volontaires, emphasized that "beyond personal benefits for these young people, volunteering also strengthens relations between the two countries." These volunteers, sent by organizations such as Défap, DCC, FNOGEC, and AFEV, will depart with the willingness to give their time. They wish to share their culture, develop their autonomy and intercultural skills. A departure preparation training, organized from August 18 to 21, allowed them to anticipate the realities of their future mission. The return, a crucial stage, will allow these gains to serve local Malagasy dynamics. This reciprocity dynamic thus reinforces the human bridge that unites Madagascar and France through the civic engagement of youth. France Volontaires, in collaboration with the French Embassy in Madagascar and the Ministry of Communication and Culture, supports these young people to make this experience a lever for personal and professional development. This fine initiative demonstrates the strength of international volunteering, a driver of experience-sharing between these two nations.
