An ecumenical celebration led by church leaders will precede the unveiling of national dialogue stages next Tuesday. After a prolonged period of waiting and speculation, the process long demanded by political actors and civil society is reaching a decisive turning point. The national dialogue appears to finally be entering its active phase. The kickoff will occur this Tuesday through an ecumenical celebration. Following this moment of spiritual unity, organizers will proceed with the official presentation of the national coordinator, the headquarters dedicated to organization, and the detailed roadmap outlining all dialogue stages. Through a joint statement, the Technical Committee has invited all national stakeholders to participate in this strategic presentation.
Parallel to ecclesiastical initiatives, the administrative and governmental machinery is also mobilizing. A coordination meeting was held at Mahazoarivo Palace under Prime Minister Mamitiana Rajaonarison. The gathering brought together delegates from various socio-political entities and personalities designated to sit on the Technical Committee. The broad outlines of the decree defining the Technical Committee's attributions and organizational structure were detailed. Addressing representatives present, the head of government firmly recalled the foundations and rationale for this major undertaking. In a patriotic-toned statement, Mamitiana Rajaonarison emphasized national ownership of the dialogue. "It is Malagasy among themselves who organize national affairs. External actors support and assist, but it is we, Malagasy, who are responsible for defining our country's future," he stressed.
Qualifying upcoming work as a "sacred duty for the nation," the Prime Minister stressed the urgency of providing lasting solutions to systemic failures fueling recurring political crises in Madagascar. Following this meeting, delegates returned to their respective headquarters to conduct internal consultations and submit proposals for the Technical Committee's final composition. The ultimate objective displayed by authorities remains creating an inclusive space to reflect, define, and build together a stable future. In any case, after lengthy deliberations and various negotiations, the FFKM and Technical Committee finally appear determined to launch the national dialogue for real, barring any last-minute changes.
