Temps Fort Danse celebrates intergenerational transmission through choreographic creation. Dance as living memory and material for imagining the future: Temps Fort Danse returns for its third edition with programming centered on transmission and dialogue between generations. From August 22 to September 12, performances, workshops, roundtables and screenings will take place at the Institut français de Madagascar. For the opening, Boutiana Didier and Soul City company from Réunion will present OG Mécanique and Tsy Ferana this Saturday. The Malagasy scene will also be represented with Marolafy, presented by Falihery and his students aged 16 to 20, Tanindrazana by Rija Jarils Company, a presentation by Rodo and new creations from the Dihy project. Transmission will continue through contemporary dance, hip-hop, krump, house, popping, locking and breaking workshops, as well as workshops for children, parents-children and seniors. Free and open to all, they will foster intergenerational exchanges. Julie Iarisoa will notably lead a workshop on September 1st. The festival will also address artists' physical and mental health with the roundtable "Taking Care of the Artist – Creating Today, Lasting Tomorrow," bringing together health professionals and Ariry Andriamoratsiresy. On the cinema side, Pina by Wim Wenders and an afternoon featuring Happy Feet, Pulp Fiction and Climax will complete the program.
