The two countries are reinforcing ties and promoting skills exchange. Cooperation between Madagascar and China is strengthening across several sectors, notably defense and development. A meeting was held on August 20 at Iavoloha Palace between the President of the Republic and the newly appointed defense attaché of the People's Republic of China in Madagascar, as well as China's ambassador to Madagascar, Ji Ping.
This meeting reaffirmed both countries' commitment to consolidating their collaboration. Discussions focused particularly on economic and professional sectors, considered key pillars of the Madagascar-China partnership. The stated objective is also to strengthen ties between the two nations and promote skills exchange. With this in mind, special attention is being given to Malagasy products that could be exported to China to further develop trade.
On the training front, Madagascar could also benefit from this cooperation. The country ranks among the first African nations to benefit from training programs designed to strengthen the skills of its professionals in China. Sino-Malagasy cooperation thus reflects a commitment to continuing exchanges and diversifying collaboration areas, with particular focus on economic and professional development.
