The first meeting marking the launch of this mission was held last Friday at Ampandrianomby, with Chinese experts, relevant officials and project partners in attendance. According to reports, discussions focused mainly on technical aspects and detailed presentations of planned infrastructure. The project involves establishing a 90 kV high-voltage electricity transmission line, medium and low-voltage transformers, and eight substations. These will be located at Antsipolitra, Antsirabe I, Antanifotsy, Behenjy, Tanà Sud II, Ambohijanaka, Tanà Ouest II and Imerintsiatosika. The meeting also reviewed project progress, completed work and next implementation steps. Ultimately, 'Tanà Medium Ring' aims to strengthen electricity transport and distribution infrastructure, improve network reliability and promote better access to electrical energy.
