Twelve young Madagascans will benefit from training in the tourism sector in Mauritius. This initiative follows the signing of a cooperation agreement between Madagascar and Mauritian partners on July 6. The presentation of study scholarship certificates was carried out on Tuesday by Lucie Rafaralahy Vololoniaina, known as Lily Rafaralahy, Minister of Tourism and Crafts, at the headquarters of her department in Tsimbazaza. The event was also attended by Daniel Saramandif, international consultant in business and tourism, and Sita Saminaden, general director of Stephen Business School (SBS), Mauritius. The training takes place at SBS Mauritius. It aims to strengthen the skills of these young people and enable them to gain professional experience with Mauritian professionals, who have recognized expertise in the tourism field. Madagascar was selected among the beneficiary countries of this program because of the development potential of its tourism sector, as well as the importance of its youth who can be supported and trained, explains the Ministry of Tourism. The Ministry of Tourism and Crafts is responsible for identifying beneficiaries and facilitating their access to the program. For Minister Lily Rafaralahy, this cooperation could also extend to other fields. She believes this agreement represents an opening toward new training and partnership initiatives.
