Some final moments are only recognized in hindsight. A last walk, a final summer, a last shared instant: with "Veloma Lava," Miarina transforms these ordinary moments into artistic material and invites each viewer to reflect on the memories that endure. The exhibition, which opened today, August 20, will continue until September 11 at Is'Art Galerie, at Tiers Lieu Mahatazana.

Through her works, the artist explores those instants that become, sometimes unexpectedly, the last. She investigates presence, absence, places and periods of life that memory preserves with a nostalgia that is both sweet and bittersweet. The exhibition does not seek to trap the visitor in regret, but rather to create a space for reflection on what memories leave behind.

The exhibition is structured around four series: "Plongée," "Apocalypse," "Rituels," and "Nocturne." "Plongée" opens the exhibition with compositions inspired by water and water lilies. Shades of green establish a calming atmosphere and evoke this first immersion into memory.

Originally from Antananarivo, Miarina develops a painting centered on the paradoxes of existence. She works notably with color, shadow, and gesture, in an approach that is both introspective and oriented toward collective questioning. Her narrative, intimate, and figurative style makes each canvas a space where personal experience confronts reflection on identity.

"Veloma Lava" will also be accompanied by a lecture and painting workshop, extending the artist's reflection on memory and its artistic expression.
