RN4: Vehicles Prowling in the Dark
Vehicles are prowling in the darkness, targeting travelers. When they stop, criminals emerge and attack. Last Sunday night, a small vehicle traveling from Mahajanga to the capital fell victim to this. The windshield was completely shattered, but the driver managed to continue and didn't stop there. The family of that vehicle alerted nearby drivers and warned others about what happened to enable mutual assistance. Traffic on RN4 is heavy during this holiday season. Many choose to travel at night to avoid traffic congestion on the way to Mahajanga, which frustrates many. These are the usual targets of criminals who either block the road or prowl. Those who stop are the ones affected. There have already been accidents and collisions on the road. Traffic police are trying to increase nighttime patrols. However, they cannot cover the entire RN4, and each driver must remain vigilant and share new information whenever they notice something unusual.
