Law enforcement continues its efforts in the fight against crime. Three armed men attacked a Cash Point on the evening of August 17 in Mandrimena, in the commune of Andoharanofotsy. After committing the crime, the suspects fled on a motorcycle. However, they crashed while being pursued by people present at the scene, some of whom had alerted the National Police. The suspects managed to escape, abandoning several items at the location. The motorcycle used in the attack, four rounds of ammunition, three knives, and a bag containing money were recovered. Law enforcement is continuing its search to identify and locate those involved in this attack. This incident comes as security forces step up operations against banditry in several localities. Thwarted burglary attempt in Ambohijanaka

Also on the evening of August 17, around 10 p.m., a burglary attempt was thwarted in Ambohijanaka. A homeowner noticed suspicious individuals behind the wall of his property. He immediately alerted the National Police. A police team quickly responded to the scene. Upon arrival, law enforcement found that the criminals had already begun cutting the metal bars protecting the wall. The intervention of police officers prevented their attempt from succeeding. Caught off guard, the individuals fled into the darkness. The quick alert from residents can indeed allow law enforcement to intervene in time and prevent crimes from being committed.
