Local authorities at the official launch of the World Friends Village Madagascar 2026. The 2026 edition of the World Friends Village officially opened its doors, bringing together 70 children from modest backgrounds around a program focused on education, discovery and solidarity. The initiative is organized by the Malagasy Solidarity Committee (CSM), with support from international partners, notably the French People's Relief organization. The program and various planned activities were presented yesterday during a press meeting in Fofikri, Ankadikely-Ilafy. The inauguration ceremony was held in the presence of representatives from partner institutions, local authorities, the French People's Relief organization and the French embassy, as well as media. The World Friends Village runs until August 26, under the direction of Setraniaina Razafindralahy, director of World Friends Village Madagascar 2026. During this meeting, El-Sayed Marwan, World Friends delegate of the French People's Relief organization from Puy-de-Dôme, France, also presented the project carried out by young people from Clermont-Ferrand. They chose to undertake an international solidarity action in Madagascar, particularly at Maroharona school, supported by Fifanampiana Malagasy. Arriving a few days before the start of the World Friends Village, the young people participated in rehabilitation work at the establishment and finishing touches on the project. Educational Activities. "Education is the foundation of everything, education allows you to reach the top," said El-Sayed Marwan, emphasizing the importance attached to this project by young participants. This initiative thus constitutes one aspect of the World Friends' commitment to education and international solidarity. Several educational, cultural and social activities are also planned during the stay. Participants will notably visit Lemur's Park in Katsaoka, before heading to the centers and villages of Akamasoa. Solidarity and beautification actions will be carried out there with children and families. A stop in Manambato is also planned, with social actions for the benefit of the local population.
