Abdallah Hassan Ayad, president of the AfriYAN DIANA network, Tianjara, journalist at RNM-TVM in Diego-Suarez, Jessica Haingotiana, coordinator of the Hetsika Val'Or program, and Romaric Tsimodinandrasana, advisor to the Nifin'Ankanga DIANA association, shared their experience around the theme "The impact of volunteering on professional development" at the Amphi-Chocolat on Saturday, August 15th. These four prominent figures from the city of Loaf of Sugar laid out their career paths with concrete arguments. Hassan Ayad, a promising young entrepreneur in the culinary arts of his locality, is above all a committed individual. For him, development begins with the capacity to help one another. The second speaker is a journalist who has given much of his time so that his fellow citizens can access information. Indeed, he has much to say about volunteering. Jessica Haingotiana, a young woman full of dedication and determination, is among the references in Antsiranana. She knows the field, she understands the youth of Diego. It is no coincidence that the Tamagna association, initiator of the "Saturday Career" meeting with the University of Antsiranana, through the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences, chose her. Finally, the advisor of Nifin'Ankanga DIANA, an association that is beginning to gain recognition among local youth. Students listened attentively and took notes. The aspect of volunteering was dissected by the speakers. It is not about convincing, but rather a series of testimonies from young people who have taken the path of self-sacrifice despite difficulties. Ultimately, half the room seemed won over. Nods of approval and eyes fixed on a better future were visible on the faces of these students who, previously, endlessly conjugated the verb "to be." Between university benches and field realities, the gap often remains difficult to bridge. So this series of conferences comes to create that bridge. It allows academics to confront theoretical teachings with the experiences of professionals. Beyond sharing knowledge, these exchanges can inspire vocations, strengthen networks, and give dimension to education—knowledge nourished by experience. The speakers also emphasized collective consciousness, with the aim of developing a sense of responsibility.
