B-Boy 3 J has claimed the Breaking 1vs1 title at Wake Up Session – Indian Ocean 2026, a prestigious urban dance competition born in Mauritius in 2010. Madagascar has made a strong mark on the regional breaking scene. The competition, organized and sponsored by Festival Bouzé as the "1 vs 1 Indian Ocean Championship," is one of the region's most important street dance championships. B-Boy 3 J's victory comes after competing against dancers from multiple territories across the Indian Ocean region and the African continent.

The Malagasy delegation also excelled in other categories. Princia Valérie reached the Top 8 in Choose Your Style, while B-Boy M.Y. finished in 4th place. These results demonstrate Madagascar's strong presence in this competition dedicated to urban cultures and dance.

Wake Up Session – Indian Ocean 2026 brought together participants from eleven countries and territories: South Africa, Botswana, Djibouti, Zimbabwe, Mayotte, Comoros, Seychelles, Rodrigues, Réunion, Mauritius, and Madagascar. On this international stage, B-Boy 3 J succeeded in dominating one of the competition's flagship categories, placing Madagascar at the top of regional breaking.

This performance strengthens the visibility of Malagasy dancers in the Indian Ocean's urban dance events.
