Launched on August 10 in Mahamasina, the second phase of PIAA2 plans 83 days of work on 271.76 meters of drainage network to improve water evacuation. The PIAA2 works currently underway in Mahamasina involve 83 days of work. This is the timeframe set for the second phase of the Integrated Sanitation Project for Antananarivo (PIAA2), launched on August 10 in Mahamasina. The construction site covers 271.76 meters of drainage network and aims to improve water evacuation in this part of the capital. The launch of work also brings changes to the sector. Interventions are being carried out on existing infrastructure and measures are being taken to facilitate traffic flow. Traders affected by the work are temporarily relocated to a site set up at Jardin d'Anosy, allowing them to continue their activities during construction. This arrangement directly concerns commercial activities in the area affected by the second phase. This intervention represents part of a larger operation covering 1,774 meters of work, divided into eight phases. The first phase shows a completion rate of 78.65%, while the overall progress of Operation 2 reaches 25.87%. These figures place the Mahamasina construction site within a broader program of interventions on the capital's sanitation network. Studies Other sectors are already involved in preparing for future interventions. In the East Valley, technical and impact studies have been launched for future sanitation work. They concern Besarety, Mahavoky, Andranobahiny, Avaradoha and Anjanahary. These studies constitute a preliminary step to planned interventions in these different sectors. In Mahamasina, work continues during the planned 83 days. Temporarily displaced traders must continue their activities at Jardin d'Anosy, while traffic is adapted to construction constraints. In other sectors of the East Valley, ongoing studies will determine the next steps for sanitation work.
