Conferences, readings, exhibitions and workshops marked the two days of Ainteny at the Cité des Cultures. The Malagasy language took center stage Friday and Saturday at the Cité des Cultures in Antaninarenina. Organized by the Teny Gasy 2.0 association as part of Malagasy Language Month, the inaugural edition of Ainteny brought together enthusiasts, professionals, authors and visitors around a shared goal: strengthening the place of Malagasy in contemporary society. Under the theme "Ny teny malagasy, mahalaza ny ankehitriny sy ny ho avy," the gathering demonstrated that the national language can establish itself in fields as varied as education, administration, entrepreneurship and technology. The two days featured numerous activities. The public had free access to readings from several Malagasy authors, discovered publications from local publishing houses including Karné, attended conferences, workshops, exhibitions, screenings and activities for children. Through this event, the Teny Gasy 2.0 association aims to encourage the use of Malagasy in all sectors of daily life. Created in 2016 to develop the language's presence on the Internet, it now works to disseminate specialized terminology to make Malagasy more accessible to modern realities. This inaugural edition of Ainteny thus reminded us that the Malagasy language is both a living cultural heritage and a tool for the future, capable of accompanying society's evolution.
