Following an emotionally charged evening on the Abidjan stage in Côte d'Ivoire, this final stage especially highlighted the immense talent of our continental representatives. As Madagascar's sole representative and the only finalist from charismatic coach Meiway's team, Valimbavaka Herimanjaka Razafimahefa, known as Val, delivered a remarkable journey. Blessed with a distinctive voice, impeccable technique, and artistic sensitivity praised by judges from the auditions, the singer established himself week after week as one of the competition's undeniable favorites. His meteoric rise was marked by bold musical choices and compelling performances, notably his vibrant rendition of 'Beautiful Things' by Benson Boone during the elimination rounds. In this summit finale, he proved his worth against extremely strong competition, including Congolese Original Ekwa and Burundian Dreamer. Following the final vote, Val secured an impressive second place. This top-tier performance honors the excellence and vitality of Madagascar's music scene on the continental stage, confirming his status as a major artist to watch closely on the African scene. Alongside Val during this fourth edition of 'The Voice Africa' francophone were two other Malagasy artists: Faith and Tojo Rakotonirina. The latter also had the potential to reach at least the grand finale. Reported by Maminirina Rado
