Terror gripped the fokontany of Antanimenabe in the rural commune of Masindray yesterday afternoon. While searching for firewood in the area, a local resident stumbled upon a gruesome scene at the bottom of a ravine near Fandrianjavona. Panic-stricken, the witness immediately alerted villagers. Two gendarmes from Masindray's police station were dispatched around 4:40 p.m., accompanied by the chief physician from the local CSB II health center, to conduct initial investigations.

Upon arrival, the discovery proved tragic. The remains belonged to a young man estimated to be around 25 years old. The body, partially undressed, was in an advanced state of decomposition with flesh already deteriorating. No documents or personal effects were found to aid identification. When questioned by authorities, local residents and community members stated they did not recognize the victim. According to the examining physician, death occurred several months ago. Due to the advanced decomposition, the exact cause of death remains undetermined. Following standard procedures at the discovery site, the body's handling and burial were entrusted to local authorities. The Masindray gendarmerie post has opened an investigation to shed light on the matter.
