Body of Missing Man Found Dead in His Home in Toamasina
This weekend, a search for Nomenjanahary Elysio, 32, was posted on Facebook after he went missing since Monday. However, the latest news indicates that he was found, but already dead in his home, discovered around 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13. He was found in his residence at Fokontany Depot VI Analakininina P/elle 23/44, after neighbors noticed a foul smell emanating from the house. According to residents in the area, people had suspected he had been in his home for some time, but no one intervened and only searched for him. It is possible he took his own life, as his body was found on the bed in an advanced state of decomposition. A screwdriver was found near the decomposed body. A technician from the Pasteur Institute in Toamasina, who performs sample collection, was sent to Antananarivo. Before the results of the investigation to determine the cause of death, his family had the body transported to Moramanga. Doctors and health authorities in Toamasina are conducting an investigation into the cause of death, and results are pending.
