Weather Forecast: Thunderstorms Expected Across Much of Madagascar
After localized instability yesterday, weather conditions are expected to deteriorate today across a large part of Madagascar. The General Directorate of Meteorology forecasts showers that could be locally thunderstorm-prone over most of the territory. The Central Highlands, Center-East and South-East are already among the areas affected by instability since yesterday. The phenomenon is expected to expand further today, with locally thunderstorm-prone showers likely to affect much of the country. Tomorrow, rainfall activity should gradually diminish in several regions, but instability will persist locally in the South-East. Regarding temperatures, highs will remain elevated in the West and North-West. Mahajanga could reach 34°C today, while Antsiranana and Antsohihy will approach 31 to 33°C. On the Highlands, conditions will remain cooler, with 24°C in Antananarivo and Antsirabe. In the East, temperatures will generally fluctuate around 26 to 29°C. Additionally, a slight drop in maximum temperatures is expected today in several regions, while minimum temperatures will locally increase.
